Subject: Free Eye Medical Camp

Dear beloved Family,

Greetings to you in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am very much delighted to let you know that today we had free Eye medical camp in the tribal area. There are 210 people attended to this camp.

There is doctor, three assistants and the staff arrived and checked up the eyes of the people in the village and we have given free medicines and some people needed optical, so it costs some money and the people who are able could paid money for the optical., However it is wonderful trip through our ministry over there. We need a lot of people lose their site of seeing due to poverty and malnutrition in children and elders.

As other side all these people who came for checkup are non Christian people. So our team and I could share the gospel and laid our hands on them out side and prayed for them.  I filled with over joy for the successful Eye medical camp. We are planning to conduct more Eye Medical camps in days to come and also sharing Gospel to the people.

Please pray for our ministry that our Lord may continue to use me for the glory of God and to for the expansion of God’s kingdom in the tribal area.

I need your love and encouragement,

Hope to hear from you

Yours brother in Jesus.

Indian Rescue Mission Needs Your Support!

A WORD FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear Friends,
Warm greetings in the name of Jesus.
God has called each of us to be channels of his love, grace and
salvation to a needy world. To take what we have freely received in
Christ and freely give it to others. We read in the Matthew 14:19b
that Jesus “gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the
multitude.” This is the account of Jesus feeding the 5,000. Please
note that the disciples did not receive their loaves from Jesus and
run off and hide somewhere satisfied that their needs were met. Nor
did they set up a bread and fish stand and seek personal profit from
God’s provision. (God’s Kingdom is not private enterprise.) Rather
they received from Jesus the fish and the bread with a commitment to
share it with others. God gives His choicest blessings to those who
have an open hand. “If God can get it through us, He will give it to
us!”
Also notice in this same passage that distributing to others allows us
to experience supernatural increase. Matthew 14:20 reads, “And they
did all eat, and were filled and they took up the fragments that
remained twelve baskets full.” As we give what we have for Christ’s
sake and the Gospel, the end result will be more than we started with
(Mark 10:29-30). It is selfishness that dries up God’s flow and supply
in our lives. Burying our talents, hoarding our resources, and saving
our lives leads to loss! (Proverbs 11:24-25).
In the economy of God’s Kingdom, increase and multiplication comes
through distribution-giving, serving and ministering to the needs of
others. The Apostle Paul made it clear that when we give
sacrificially, God releases supernatural grace in our lives. “And God
is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having
all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. (2
Corinthians 9:8).
We are so thankful for each and every one of our faithful partners and
sponsors that God is using to enable us to carry on and expand this
work among the children of India. Many lives are being transformed
through your giving. God will not forget what you have done and will
reward you at the Resurrection of the Just (Lk 14:12-14; Lk 16:9-13:
Lk 18:22; Eph. 4:28 & 1 Tim. 6:18-19) The only way you and I can put
our treasure in Heaven as Jesus commanded us is to put our treasure
into something going to heaven, the souls of men & women, boys and
girls brought to Christ by our faithful giving to God’s work! Your
treasure on earth can produce true treasures in Heaven. The treasures
of Heaven are not the gold streets or the diamond doorways but the
“jewels of people” who are there because of our faithfulness to God.
Our continual prayer is that God will greatly bless and reward each
one of you who are or who will be partnering with us to carry on this
work of redeeming children’s lives from sin and its ravages of abuse,
discrimination, poverty, illiteracy and neglect. God is giving these
precious children “a hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11) through
Christ’s love and raising up a praying army of disciples to carry the
Gospel all over India!

Subject: Lepers praying from India

Greetings to you in the precious name of our lord Jesus Christ. It is my privilege writes an email to you and share about burden God had laid in our hearts to reach unreached and care for the untouchables in our land of India. We are team of pastors and a minister preaches the Gospel in the rural, tribal, and remote areas of the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Out of the population of a billion people in India, only 2.4% are Christian. We have we have very little support except to feed and care for the lepers, poor widows and orphan children. The streets are full of children and victims of leprosy who have no place to live except on the street. They are basically starving. We can not provide housing for these people, but they do take to the streets with food and utensils so the people you see pictured will not die of starvation.

It cost very little to feed many people in India. I, Pastor Matthew Raju and his fellow workers are also not well off, sacrificing their own lives to help these “untouchables.” They are mocked and persecuted and have to take care of their own families and depend totally on God's provision to continue their ministry. Most of them walk to proclaim the gospel because they have no bicycles.

Whatever size contribution you make to us is directly used in the Kingdom of God. The Lord will bless you for it. Giving to the poor is lending to God. That's like a money-back guarantee!

Your brother in Jesus.

Pray for Gospel for Asia Film Team Members

Attack, Accusations against GFA Film Team

April 15, 2010
Gospel for Asia film teams travel throughout Asia showing a movie about the life of Jesus.
A Gospel for Asia-supported film team in Jharkhand, India, was attacked by villagers who also stole their equipment. The incident occurred on March 30 when the film team was showing a movie about the life of Christ in a small village. A group of angry villagers interrupted the show and began beating the three missionaries and the local pastor who was working with them. Then they snatched up all the film equipment and ran away.
The equipment was returned to the film team the next day, but there was no apology for the assaults. Instead, the villagers have accused the film team of disturbing the peace in the village. The film team must now appear before local law enforcement officials to answer the claims.
The team members ask for prayer that the Lord will grant His protection over them and that they will be found innocent when they appear before the local court. They also ask for prayer for the people who assaulted them, that their hearts would be open to the Gospel. They are also praying they will be able to show the film in that village again.

Afghan women deserve to live free from abuse. »

More and more Afghan women are resorting to suicide in order to escape abuse within forced marriages. The situation worsened last year when the Karzai government passed a law legalizing marital rape. For many women, death seems like the only way out.

Women should not be treated as second-class citizens. But until the Karzai government enforces protection of womens' rights and outlaws domestic violence, the women of Afghanistan will continue to seek refuge through suicide.

Tell the President of Afghanistan that women need to be protected from violence and abuse. »

Gospel for Asia - Missionary & Christian Homes burned in Bangladesh

Missionary's and Christians' Homes Burned in Bangladesh

March 3, 2010
Anti-Christian extremists burned down several homes of Christians in Bangladesh earlier this week. Most people in Bangladesh live in simple structures like the one shown here.
A Gospel for Asia–supported missionary and several Christian families are homeless after anti-Christian extremists burned down their homes earlier this week. The attacks occurred in Bangladesh near the border with India.
Missionary Iqbal Hasan is the pastor of a church in this area.
The homes were completely destroyed, and the Christians could not salvage any of their belongings.
Gospel for Asia ministry leaders are providing for the immediate needs of the affected Christians, and they will help them rebuild once it becomes safe to do so.
In the meantime, they request prayer for comfort and for God's provision. Also pray for those who are persecuting these believers to come to know Him.

Be an advocate for the Voice of the Martyrs

Be-A-Voice - Be-A-Voice for Christian Prisoners
Be-A-Voice Network - The Voice of the Martyrs

BE AN ADVOCATE FOR OUR IMPRISONED BROTHERS AND SISTERS

March 01, 2010
Dear Friends:
One feature of the Be-A-Voice Network is that it provides volunteers the opportunity to write to Christians who are imprisoned for their faith. A price cannot be placed on the joy and encouragement these letters bring our imprisoned brothers and sisters. They are often told by authorities that they are forgotten, that no one knows or cares about them. Your letters let the prisoners know that other Christians care about them and pray for them. Family photos and greeting cards are especially cherished.

We cannot guarantee that every letter will be received by the prisoner to whom you write. Nevertheless, we strongly encourage you to make the effort — someone will likely read it.

We also encourage you to write to government officials on behalf of Christian prisoners. By becoming an "advocate," you are entering into the vital ministry of intercession for and solidarity with those who suffer for their fai th in Christ.

Your involvement makes a difference:
• It testifies of the love and unity found among followers of Jesus Christ throughout the world.
• It is a witness to imprisoned Christians and authorities you write to as well as to authorities who may censor letters intended for the prisoner.
• It can result in better treatment for a prisoner.

Authorities in many nations are sensitive about their image abroad. When they realize outsiders are monitoring a prisoner’s situation, their treatment of the prisoner may improve.

We have a clear scriptural mandate for this kind of ministry. Please read and pray through the following verses, which will help you understand the role you are undertaking. This is no doubt front-line spiritual warfare, and you will want to pray through the thoughts you express in your letter.

Hebrews 13:3, Matthew 25:34–40, Matthew 5:10, 1 Peter 3:13–17, 1 Peter 4:12–14.

Pastor Hakim needs your help! Imprisoned for Christ!

Help Send Action Packs
to Iraqi Christians

The Voice of the Martyrs
Dear Friends:
Terrorists threatened to kill Pastor "Hakim." His relatives pleaded with him to go somewhere safe. But God called him to minister in Iraq. Pastor Hakim and his wife trusted God more than they feared for their safety.
Pastor HakimOne Sunday morning while Hakim was driving to work, three armed men confronted him with guns drawn. They ordered him to stop, but Hakim knew to stop the car meant he would die. Instead, he gunned the engine. The terrorists opened fire, and three shots hit Pastor Hakim. Later, at the hospital, his Muslim doctors said it was a miracle that none of the bullets hit a major organ or artery. After the shooting, Hakim continued his ministry in Iraq.
Church bombings, pastor assassinations and kidnappings have forced many Iraqi Christians to flee Iraq's major cities yet, they still proclaim Christ. Christians like Pastor Hakim and his family have stayed in Iraq despite the violence, and they also courageously share Christ's love and forgiveness with their Muslim neighbors, even those who threaten to harm them.
You can help these steadfast Christians by sending The Voice of the Martyrs Action Packs. Each pack provides simple gifts of clothing, a towel or a toy. More importantly, each gift provides spiritual encouragement and assures Iraqi Christians that they have not been forgotten by their family members in the west.
For just $7 you can bless and encourage Christians like Pastor Hakim. It's easy to send help.
  • Order an Action Pack and VOM will send you a special vacuum-seal bag. (Each pack includes instructions on what to put inside.)
  • Fill the bag with items on the list - either new or gently used.
  • Send the bag back to VOM. We will make sure it is delivered to Christians in Iraq. (If we experience significant delivery barriers to Iraq we'll send your Action Pack to Sudan or Pakistan.)
OR SPONSOR A PACK!
You can also sponsor Action Packs filled by VOM volunteers. For a $30 donation volunteers will outfit an Action Pack with all the items listed and fill the pack and ensure it gets to an Iraqi family in need.
CLICK HERE to order or sponsor an Action Pack for Christians in Iraq, and please pray that God will provide for and protect our brothers and sisters there. Also pray that many Muslims in Iraq might come to know Christ in a personal way.

Help needed urgently for this Virtually Homeless Family!!!

REQUEST FOR HELP and PRAYERS
There is a family that really needs your help and prayers.

Their contact information is:
Smith Family

In April 1996 this family of 6 has had the misfortune of having the interior of their house totally destroyed.  The insurance company and contractor DID NOT do their job, and left this family with a very grossly undone house which is also infected with MOLD.  They cannot live in the house because it causes sicknesses.  They have been paying a mortgage all this time on a house they cannot live in.

Because they have not been able to live in their house, they have lived in their car, in tents in their back yard, at various friend's houses as well as in a 25 ft. x 6 ft. pop-up tent camper that is falling apart.  They are presently renting a VERY SMALL apartment that they can hardly pay for because they are also paying a mortgage on their house that they CANNOT LIVE IN.  They have also had numerous Medical Problems.

The apartment they are living in is so small.  They literally have beds up against beds.  It is very cramped for the family to live.  It is really getting hard on this family (4 children) trying to live everywhere except in their own home.  They have also had many other serious problems constantly throughout these 14 years, and it is really wearing them down physically, emotionally and financially.   The husband will be 60 years old soon, and the wife will be 59.  They just don't know how much longer they could stay strong.

They have 2 cats that they cannot have at the apartment with them, so they have to travel 30 miles round trip every day to visit them and feed them.

They have had Child Protective Services watching their family for quite some time.  They love their children and DO NOT want them taken away.

This family really feels that the Lord has led them to a television show called EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION as their answer.  They were really praying hard one night asking the Lord what He wanted them to do about their house.  The next day the family received an envelope in the mail with the application enclosed for this television show.  They never heard of this TV show before.  They went back to the Lord and asked him to confirm that this envelope came from Him.  Within 1 week they had 3 or 4  different people come to them and tell them about EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION, and that they should send in an application.  They took this as confirmation from the Lord, So their family sent in an application.

If you would send an e-mail to EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION requesting for them to refurbish this family's house, it would help so very much.  PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PUT THIS FAMILY'S CONTACT INFO IN THE E-MAIL SO EMHE HAS A WAY TO CONTACT THE FAMILY.

It would help even more if you would keep re-sending your e-mail to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition EVERY DAY (re: Luke 18) until they build a new healthy house for this family.

Please send your emails to:

PLEASE PRAY for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to come quickly to help this family.

Villagers Try to Stop Mission Work

February 19, 2010
After sharing the Word of God with villagers, a GFA–supported pastor was threatened.

Before they were Christians, the believers in Gospel for Asia–supported pastor Sahas Gupta's church in Orissa, India, were given the "god land" in their community. This land, designated as the land of the local deity, was intended to be given to the poor.

When these families chose to follow Jesus Christ, it angered the villagers, who believed only the people of their religion had the right to use the land. They attempted to attack the new believers and Pastor Gupta just a few months ago, but the Lord spared the Christians' lives.

Then the villagers called a meeting on February 12 to expel these new believers from the village. Even with no other land to call their own and no other place to go, the Christians were ready for any decision from the village leaders and said they would leave everything for the sake of Jesus. But as the day unfolded, the meeting was unexpectedly postponed. No new date has been set.

Gospel for Asia leaders ask for prayer for these Christians, that they would be protected and that the village leaders would allow the believers to remain on the land.

The Testimonies Changed their Minds
GFA–supported pastor Aafreen Mukopadhyay faced a similar situation in a village in West Bengal, India. He was asked to attend a meeting with the primary political and religious leaders in his area. On February 9, around 300 people gathered for the meeting, with the purpose of creating restrictions to stop the spread of the Gospel.

This meeting came about as a result of one person choosing to follow Christ. Before this man gave his heart to Christ, the only Christians in the village were Aafreen and a few other missionaries. When the villagers learned that one of their own had decided to live for Jesus and more people were joining him, they went to the missionaries and accused them of converting people to Christianity by force. They warned him that no one should come to their village to proclaim Jesus.

During the meeting, the Christians were questioned on video as to why they had left their former religion to become Christians. One after another, all the new believers testified that when they were sick, it was through the prayers of God's servants that they received healing. They explained that peace and happiness came into their lives when they chose to follow Jesus.

When the people at the meeting heard the testimonies of these new believers, their hearts were touched. Instead of implementing rules to stop the missionaries' work, the villagers gave them freedom to continue sharing God's love in their area.

Pastor Aafreen and the other missionaries request prayer that God would use them mightily to reach the rest of the community and other villages with the Word of God.

24,000 Children Will Die Today - Click to Give -
Save the Children
4-month-old girl from Mali
Click to Give
In the
next 24 hours, over 24,000 children under five will die - most
from preventable and treatable causes.

Dear Friend of Save the Children,
Save the Children is engaged on the front lines of relief in and around Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Yet, even as we channel a remarkable outpouring of support from caring people like you into immediate, impactful assistance for Haitian children and families ...

... we have not, and will not turn away from other vulnerable children around the world.

More than 24,000 children under age five will die today from preventable and treatable causes.

That tragic, heartbreaking fact led me to rush you this urgent message and ask you to make a generous donation to Save the Children today.

I wouldn’t ask if your help wasn’t so important – literally a matter of life and death for children in desperate need. Your kind support can help us save children by enabling our staff and programs to better provide ...

  • Vitamin A supplements and other micronutrients to prevent blindness and early death ...
  • Antibiotics to treat infection ...
  • Insecticide-treated bed nets to prevent malaria ...
  • And so much more!
Your support helps us and other organizations make enormous strides toward alleviating child mortality. For example, providing immunization against diseases such as measles, pertussis and tetanus saves more than three million children’s lives each year.

But with so many children still dying needlessly every day, we obviously have much more lifesaving work to do.

So, please take a moment right now to support Save the Children with a tax-deductible online gift.

Please don’t wait – another child dies needlessly every three seconds.

Thank you,
